Schooling Trials Day report
A hugely successful morning of schooling trails took place recently, 11 races over fences, hurdles, and bumpers (safety factor max 12 per race)
Major NH yards and a few smaller operations brought horses with top jockeys, both professional and amateur, to take advantage of the relaxed opportunity to provide brilliant education for their horses. The brain child of Jane Headley whilst in Ireland, where schooling trials are commonplace, (now Clerk at Newcastle), and supported by Horse Welfare Board and Racing Foundation, working with the Point to Point Authority, Chaddesley Races were delighted to be part of this pilot scheme
Thank you very much to everyone who came to support our Racecourse Schooling trial pilot, either as an owner, trainer, jockey or being an official.
Thanks must go to Jim Squires as clerk of the course for producing a chase, hurdle & bumper course, and even making a temporary paddock to make things more efficient.

Quote from Rowley Racing
“Last Wednesday we headed to Chaddesley for our first taste of the new schooling initiative with seven horses
We had a brilliant time and it’s such a fantastic opportunity for the younger horses to gain valuable experience ⭐️
The day was very well organised and provided a great day for owners too! A huge thank you to everyone involved”
